Prospective TNT Students

Teach North Texas (TNT) was designed to afford students the opportunity to explore the profession of teaching math, science or computer science with little time and financial commitment. As early as your first semester in the program, you will have the opportunity to develop and teach a lesson in a local elementary school classroom. The program will also reimburse you for one credit hour of tuition just for completing the first two courses, UCRS 1980 (STEP 1) and UCRS 2980 (STEP 2).

Students are encouraged to begin the TNT program as early as the first semester of their freshman year.

You must meet with a TNT faculty advisor to discuss the program and how it might work with your degree plan before you can enroll in our first course, UCRS 1980 (STEP 1).

SPECIAL NOTE: Teach North Texas is a new program to prepare students for secondary certification, and the courses of this program will be gradually introduced over the next few semesters. For this reason, students expecting to graduate Fall 2009 or earlier should not be part of TNT.
